- RAW chef Jim Maurice - 


We are so pleased to organize this special event as a very first official event after the Grand Opening.  

 

RAW chef Jim Maurice, who was my instructor for the chef course, will visit the studio in Yokohama.  We will organize something special, listen to his hot RAW news from Canada, prasing his demonstration of RAW cocking and enjoy amazing RAW dishes under cozy, relaxinig mode at a long table.  

 

Doesn't it sound great??  Please join us!  

 

This event is specially designed for RAW-fresh persons.  But no doubt, experience RAW person will enjoy more than that, I gurantee!

Yes!  It's time to party!  Because my son who lives in NL is visiting me on the coming weeks!!  So I decided to throw the Grand Opening party of the studio on 

 

A: 24th Feb (Fri)  19:00 ~ (an English speaking evening!!) 

B: 25th Feb (Sat)  16:00 ~ 18:30 (for an early bird!) 

C: 25th Feb (Sat)  19:30 ~ (with a special guest performance)

 

Who loves RAW food already, or those who new to RAW, or who knows me or whom I have not met yet, everybody is welcome as long as you care  yourself and people around you as well as the Earth! 

And meet someone new or meet something new!!

 

We will serve MEGuMI's style RAW food and it's a very casual party.

We will have some surprise guests and some witty games and prizes.

Oh! It's been too long time no news.  In fact, I've been very much engaged to the contsruction.. which is almost there.

 

Take a look at the photo below.  What do you think?   Can't wait visiting?  The official starting will be on 26 November with " Thank YOU!" party for those who involved with the construction and supported me during that time.  

 

And that is not that yet.  The official grand opening will be somewhere in the begining of 2012, and meantime, the studio has already set some schdule like " Open house party", " pre-opening party" and adhoc workshops.  So keep your eyes on your inbox for a notice from MEGUMI's RAW studio!!

Finally, we started actual action!

 

The celling is being ripped off.  And in a few days, capenters will put marking ink.  So my duty is to clearning up this mess in two days!

 

I expect in the begining of October, the place will be ready for the new start!!

 

Meantime, I will orgnaise the very first event by MEGUMI's RAW studio, which will be called " Let's paint!" in mid September.  Watch out for the invitation for this unusual event!!

Launch of EER! RAW food recipe workgroup


EER! (Explore and Experiment RAW!RAW food recipes workgroep is to start its activities on 13th July.  

 

The workgroup aims to experiment recipes created by professionals ( mostly from US or Europe) and re-create more adjusted to Japanese teasts or ingridients.  To share RAW experiences and information is another major purpose of this workgroup.  Once a month, every 2nd Tuesday/ Wedsday of the month, we gather at RAW food restaurant Manna @ Daikanyama.  Interested?  Please contact me for further detail! ・・・>contact

The 2nd step for the new studio


Today on 7 July 2011, on the day of " Tanabata", I had the 2nd meeting on the reconstruction of the new studio.  The first drawing is made.

 

It is such a criative excise that I enjoy very much. I wish to have billions of yens to spend to create my dream place.... but I have to face the reality, as well.   Listing up the ideas, setting priorities, imagining obstacles and contradiction, weighting the facts.... a process of articluating idea to the reality.

 

Well, a schedule will be set by the nest meeting!

MEGUMI at charity lunch


MEGUMI will support a charity RAW lunch party organised by Le Portage on 30th of June.  The charity is for victims of North-East Japan Earthquack.  We will a lunch plate filled with raw goodies for 1000 yen and with extra 300 yen, you will get drink and sweet.  That something you can not miss!!  Please reserve ahead, so that we can secure your plate.

The first step of MEGUMI's Studio


On 15th June, finally MEGUMi took the first step to start rebuilding the space for her studio. " Natural, Simple, Warmth, Environmental friendly, ecological, energy saving, endurance, LOVE....' are the key words.  I met a very nice contracter and his partner is my favorite raw food teacher/friend.  I feel a start of very plesant creative practice!!
